Maxwell Ordd is an average looking human that surrounds himself with fine things. He dresses to impress and keeps his home immaculate. He stands about 5’8” tall with green eyes and slicked back, black hair. He has slightly effeminate features that have been both a boon and a bane to him throughout his life. He lives in a fairly large estate (or whatever is common in Nexus for resources 3) which serves as the home for himself and his henchmen.

Max grew up in the streets of Nexus as an orphaned street urchin. He learned to survive through thievery and smooth talking. Since Max was not the largest or meanest looking child, he quickly fell in with other street urchins and formed lasting bonds with them. Together, Max and his friends survived their early years and as teenagers they controlled a small chunk of Nexus as their own. They had completely driven out competing street gangs.

Max has always wanted more for himself than what life had given him. While Max stole from the rich, he always harbored the desire to be one of them. Unfortunately, the chance at wealth always eluded him due to his lack of connections and street urchin background. It took on fateful encounter with a woman named Agnes to change his life.

Max met Agnes while trying to steal a particularly valuable heirloom he had tracked down. The heirloom would fetch a fabulous price at the fence and would help fund the beginnings of his now considerable wealth. Unfortunately, Agnes was a formidable woman and caught in the act and trapped him. Max thought he was done for, but Agnes showed a peculiar interest in him. Instead of turning him in, Agnes took Max in and taught him how to live in society. Seeing his chance at living a better life, Max drank up the knowledge that Agnes offered and used it over the next decade to carve out his own spot in the middle management of the Guild and to amass a modest fortune.

Unfortunately, Max’s old enemies from his street urchin days still give him problems and threaten to take away the things he loves: his family and his money.
